Krystal Elliott, LMT, NCBTMB

Krystal Elliott, a licensed massage therapist and certified yoga teacher, began studying bodywork and holistic living in 1996 and trained at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage in 1999. Her education and work encompass treating the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. Whether you need deep physical work, your mind/body needs to find peace and calm, or both, she is here to facilitate your wellness. She has an incredibly deep love for the work she does, and it shines through her sessions.IMG_1812

Recognizing that every body is different, Krystal works with each client’s specific needs and preferences, which may differ from session to session. Aside from her Cayce/Reilly training, she is trained in several other massage therapy and bodywork modalities such as deep tissue, prenatal, myofascial release, active and passive stretching, neuromuscular, swedish, reiki, and reflexology. Regardless of the type of work you need, her intention is for you to be as relaxed as possible so that your body and mind can work together in receiving the work you need.

Living an active, playful lifestyle, she has incurred several injuries herself throughout the years, specifically low back/disc/sciatic, knee, and shoulder issues. Being a ‘glass half full’ kind of girl and finding a bright side to nearly everything, she put a positive spin on those injuries, using them to better her work and deepen her understanding of similar issues her clients may be dealing with. Working with a practitioner who can understand your level of discomfort from personal experience, is a comfort in itself. It is her goal to help you find peace of mind and ease of movement.

Along with her massage therapy training, Krystal is also a certified Yoga teacher through the Athens Yoga Institute, a trained Birth Doula through Dona International, and a certified Infant Massage instructor through Liddle Kidz Foundation. She loves everything birth ‘n babies and has assisted the Athens Regional Midwives in several of their CenteringPregnancy program sessions. She continues to stay active in this area by offering prenatal massage and momma/partner sessions which teach the birth partner how to aid in the comfort of momma at home and during labor.

Krystal’s love of Yoga stems from her very first experience at the Kriya Yoga Temple in Chicago. Having left that first class with such a peaceful and light feeling of floating the whole walk home, she was hooked. Yoga is her medicine. It’s what keeps her body in check on a daily basis. She believes that there is some form of yoga out there for every body and loves that she can combine her experience with yoga and massage to give her clients a well-rounded approach to addressing issues in their body. Krystal aims to educate and empower each individual to take charge of their health, and stay in tune with their bodies so they may move about life as easily and comfortable as possible.
